Volunteer

 We are always looking for caring community members who want to contribute their time to better the community and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking assistance for the following projects:

  • Auction/Golf Events
  • Fine Arts Instruction
  • Homework Assistance
  • Programming Support
  • Facility Spruce Up Day
  • Arts & Crafts Drive
 

Have a special talent or hobby? Boys & Girls Clubs Of The Olympic Peninsula is always looking for individuals or groups interested in assisting with Clubs programming. If you have expertise in the following areas, please contact us. We run the following programs: sports and fitness, technology, the arts, health and life skills, leadership and character development, education and career development. We would love for you to be a part of our team!


Current Opportunities 
Program Support:  
We need need volunteers to help us plan make an impact on the children that visit us daily.  We run several programs and one is sure to meet your interest.  The Clubs are hopping with kids between 3pm & 6pm.  Our greatest need is assisting with "Power Hour" a program designed to offer after school homework assistance.  Other opportunities include working in the Art Room, Computer Lab, Athletics, Front Desk, Kitchen Help or working socializing with middle school and teenage kids.  It just takes one caring adult to make a positive impact in the life of a child.  Call your local Clubhouse to schedule a tour and to pick up a volunteer application.

Admin Support:  
Our administration office runs lean. With three full time positions dedicated to leadership, finance and fundraising we need your help.  The phone rings off the hook, and there are always support tasks and busy work you can help with.  If you can lend 2 hours one day week between the hours of 9am-1pm, call 683-8095 or email Janet.  

Auction Committee:  
We need need volunteers to help us plan and execute our biggest fundraiser of the year. It takes the organization and tenacity of over 50 volunteers to pull off this big event.  Be on a planning committee (including: solicitation, food/beverage, decorations, presentations, advertising and more) or help by working the week of the auction.  We need help decorating, setting up and for clean up.  Call or email Janet to learn more about how you can help.  Auction Date Nov 10, 2012.

Golf Committee:  
We need need volunteers to help us run our golf tournament. We need individuals to help with registration, to sell raffle tickets and monitor the holes for all the various prize opportunities.  Call or email Janet to learn more about how you can help.  Tournament Date April 18, 2012, 10:30-6pm (or as your time permits).
